Year 6 Teacher

Estcots feels like home to me as I completed my NQT year here back in 2008. Following this, I moved to London for a few years after getting married, where I taught in a vibrant primary school in Westminster. I returned to Estcots in 2015 to form ‘team 6BT’ with the fabulous Mrs Brown.

Teaching year 6 has its challenges- trying to keep with the governments ever increasing expectations for example- but the best thing about teaching year 6? The Isle of Wight trip of course!

A Few Things About Me

I love teaching because every day is different; because I get to spend my time with 30 brilliant, fun, young people and because it is a privilege to see the potential emerging in the next generation. I love to sing and the children in my class will confirm that I am liable to break into song at any given moment (I’m particularly prone to Disney outbursts!).

I’m also an animal lover and my free time is usually spent in the company of ponies or my loveable Labrador, Alfie. Most of my time is devoted to being a mummy to my two gorgeous girls. My eldest daughter is now at school and I have discovered it is a very different experience being on the other side of the desk on parents evening!
