Mrs Claire Smith

Being a school governor is a great way to give back to the community.  I come from a family of teachers and studied child psychology at university, so I am passionate about education and child development.   I currently work as a Value Creation Officer for a global brand and design agency in London.  I joined the business eight years ago where I managed a client service team of 30.  My role now is more financial and operational – responsible for driving efficiencies and effectiveness throughout the business through project management, commercial logic and financial analysis.

I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I am a member of Weirwood Reservoir where I go kayaking and every week I spend a few hours horse riding up on the Ashdown Forest.  I am an auntie to three children (one at Estcots) and I and believe that a solid education is imperative to their future success and more importantly their happiness.
