Business Manager

I am lucky enough to do a job that I love at a school that I am proud to be part of.

My role as Business Manager is very varied. It ranges from managing the school budget to ensuring that the school is clean and safe with everything in between. The bonus to my job is being part of the school community and seeing the children grow and develop into amazing young individuals when they leave us to go onto their next level of education.

I am privileged to be able to spend time out of my office to attend the year 6 children on their residential trip and to be able to help on other class trips where I can to share in the children’s experiences.

A Few Things About Me

My children are now quite grown up and I am proud of the young adults that they have become. It also leaves me with a little more time to do things that I enjoy including reading, films, decorating and spending time with my friends and family.

There is nothing more that I enjoy than a good trip to London with my daughter to share our passion for art and fashion at the V&A and then time watching my son play hockey all over the south of England.

Deputy Headteacher

I feel very lucky to have joined the Estcots team this year, as both Deputy Head and Governor. I have been welcomed warmly by the whole Estcots community. I have been teaching for over 20 years and am still constantly surprised by the many talents and level of enthusiasm children display.

Although Education Policy may be changing at a rapid pace, the entitlement of our young people to a first class education remains at the heart of everything we do. I look forward to working closely with the Governing body to ensure that high expectations and the wellbeing of all the children in our care remain a priority.

A Few Things About Me

When not at work, I like to relax at the cinema , visit art galleries or enjoy a night at the theatre with family and friends. I particularly like adventure travel that takes me out of my comfort zone and gives me the chance to try something new.

It’s good to be reminded that we are constantly asking children to do just that. I have a long list of places and experiences on my list! So far, these have included white-water rafting in Costa Rica, snorkelling in Thailand and travelling to Tibet on the highest railway in the world.

Headteacher - DSL & School Governor

The opportunity to educate future generations is a rare privilege, bringing with it a huge responsibility to provide the best all-round education possible.

As Headteacher at Estcots working with the Governors adds value to our work we are very fortunate to have such committed and time generous governors. As governors we aim to prepare young people for happiness and success in their adult lives. We care about the individual and pride ourselves in the warmth of a community in which all our pupils feel valued.

We all aim to ensure that Estcots is a community school to be proud of!

A Few Things About Me

We live in exciting and fast changing times and this means that providing an outstanding, progressive and well-rounded education is more important than ever. I have worked in education for over 22 years and thoroughly enjoy the challenges and rewards that each day brings.

My days away from work are spent with my husband, two children and of course my Labrador dog! Family life is something I cherish watching my own children growing up and having memorable family times.  On the rare occasions I have time to myself I enjoy a delicious curry and something good to watch on the television or planning my next holiday!
