WOW WOW WOW! What a fantastic Sports Week we had! It started off on Monday Sports Day on Monday and we were very lucky with a lovely weather for the day in a week of rain forecast. It was a great day with green house coming out on top after some very successful rely races after the team races. The teachers also ran a great race, as did the parents.
“Thank you Estcots for another fantastic sports day – we had a brilliant day” – Parent KS’s 1 and 2
There were many events and sports during the week including a scooter workshop for KS1 and a skateboard workshop for the children in KS2. All of the children were extremely happy to try new things and found it ‘awesome!’ – “Skateboarding workshop was awesome.” “Scooting workshop was fun , we were all called ‘dudes!’”
We also had a sponsored aerobic ‘keepfitathon’ which was a challenge for Mrs Brock who attended and took part in nearly all of the sessions! A child from year 6 said – ‘Mrs Brock says it was brutal the work out!’
Each class learnt about a different sport and had to research it, find out the history of the sport and how to play it. Another part of sports week was that all children had to learn to cook a healthy meal and plan it from scratch. The best part for the children was the eating of it!
Please enjoy the the photographs of the the week and the enjoyment of the children.
