Parents & Friends Association (PFA)
The PFA are a team of volunteer parents who organise social events with the aim of raising funds for the school, whilst having fun on the way! We are a registered charity (Reg. No. 1150731).

Who are Estcots PFA?
The Parents & Friends Association (PFA) at Estcots Primary school is a registered charity (Reg. No. 1150731) run by a group of parents from the school, who come together with the aim of raising extra funding for the school to enrich the pupils experiences and enhance resources during their time at the school.
To do this, the PFA organises a wide variety of fundraising activities throughout the year, such as the summer and Christmas fairs, fireworks displays, quiz nights, second hand uniform sales and much more!
The PFA regularly meet to discuss fundraising, and welcome all parents who want to get involved or become a member, or a friend. As a member you can vote for committee members and need to come along to meetings throughout the school year, but if you can’t commit to being a member you can be a friend and help at events when you can. There is a Facebook and Instagram page and a WhatsApp group for everyone to get up to date information as well as promote the events. To be added to the WhatsApp group, please email the PFA (pfa@estcots.co.uk), giving us your mobile phone number.

How do we do it?
Our primary aim is to help raise funds for our children’s school.
Alongside the school fundraising, we also aim to bring people together, to build friendships and a strong community that has the children’s best interests at heart. And we couldn’t do what we do without YOU! Your engagement in the PFA activities, alongside the PFA efforts, is what makes the fundraising a success. So the next time you take the time to attend one of our sales, or put aside the money to buy a ticket to an event, or spread the word, you are helping to build a more enriching environment for our children at school, and you are making a difference. Here are some school enhancements that were funded by us in 2024/2025:
We hope that as well as being a fundraising organisation and registered charity, through the events that we organise we can also help to bring people together, meet and make new friends, and therefore help to build a strong school community!
We warmly welcome new volunteers who can help, as most events can not go ahead without the parents and volunteers who run them. You do not have to be a full committee member and come to all the meetings; instead you can be a ‘friend’ of the committee and volunteer for particular events. We understand time is precious to all of us and you can give whatever suits you. All help is greatly appreciated! We hold meetings once a month (as much as possible) which are usually held in the evenings at the school.
