This book is about a Kansas girl called Dorothy.

She lives with her aunt, uncle and pet dog Toto, until a cyclone tears through her farm and whisks her away to the magical land of Oz far away from home. On her adventure she meets witches, The tinman (who wants a heart), The Cowardly lion (who wants courage) and The Scarecrow (who wants a brain). To get to the wonderful Wizard of Oz they must use the yellow brick road, while the wicked witch of the West tries to stop them.
