Year 6 Book Review – Wings of Fire – The Dragonet Prophecy

by Jennifer Willis on March 24, 2023 No comments

A long, long time ago in a world full of dragons, the fledgling or dragonets (as they were known) were being held hostage for their own protection during a violent and hostile war; secretly, they were quietly confidently and mentally preparing themselves for their great escape to fulfill their prophecy…This is the first book written by Tui T. Sutherland, where she sets the scene of thrilling action and deep, dark plots. The first chapter opens introducing a shy dragonet named Clay, who has a huge task both emotionally and physically as he is destined to fulfill a prophecy. Clay doesn’t believe with the support of his friends that he will be able to stop their violent widespread world war, he’s just an average dragonet.

The story centers around Clay’s character, who is sometimes foolish and is captivated by his friends. What would you do? Would you cave into stress or learn to deal with everything life throws at you?

Recommended age in my opinion is 9-15. Action packed, exciting and engaging.
